Welcome and thank you for spending time looking at my photographic images.
Born and raised in the West of Scotland in the mid 1960’s, I found my love for Photography and Art as a child visiting Glasgow’s magnificent Kelvingrove Art Gallery.
Eventually buying a SLR camera I took photographs of the landscape, architecture and classic cars within Scotland, and remember the anticipation of getting the films back from the local film processor.
Having the confidence to create images with people has brought a new sense of creativity in my photography.
When the opportunity presents itself, I go seeking the next batch of incidental images of everyday life.
Recent projects include subjects such as sunglasses and umbrellas, my current ongoing project is bicycle parts.
I actively look for images within my daily life, often returning with my camera to capture these images.
When shooting people, I create images with imperfections and consider everything within the frame. My work may not be technically perfect, but are we really only attracted to perfection?
Our eyes are trained to see imperfections, and I see no reason to hide such details. .
